| IAN HUSBANDS, Singer/Songwriter
Ian Husbands, (ex-lead singer fREAK-1-C) found himself going through a difficult
time in 2005, with the loss of his job, fiancee, flat and the split of fREAK-1-C all
coming together within a few months of each other. In a bad state of mind, unemployed, and with not much to do, Ian travelled over the
UK with his acoustic guitar and Apple iBook and started work on writing material for
a new album. Some of his writing caught the attention of fellow singer/songwriter
Nadie, who introduced Ian to producer Jo Webb. Jo agreed to work with Ian on one
track, ‘Mourn’, which was to be the start of a very productive and creative relationship. With a demo of ‘Mourn’ in hand, Ian then approached Damian West of Electric Horse
Records Ltd. who offered Ian a publishing deal which has allowed the development
of 8 Month Malfunction as a studio project. With three tracks finished and demos for
an album in progress, plans for live dates are currently being made. |
